The research work is being carried out by our group to discuss how skilled weavers in Anakaputhur, Chennai, who formerly produced handwoven sarees, have changed their direction to innovation. This document aims to discuss the origin, their history, and how they have evolved to this present market while preserving their roots of handicraft. This work has a collection of all the information that has been gathered about the craft and the industry surrounding it.
